As many of you know, I used to write a wedding blog where I made fun of wedding related issues, many of which I had seen when I planned weddings after I was in college. I haven't written on it for several month and have recently received a handful of inquiries about when I'm going to write again and requests to write about something specific.
I currently don't have any plans to write on Bridehood Revisited. I've mentioned before that the majority of my friends have gotten married over the past two years. Since I haven't been doing weddings, I've tried to be really careful to sidestep any topic that might raise suspicions that I was talking about them. I still have tons of stories that I guess will remain untold.
There's been the whole strapless dress thing. I've seen way too many pictures that people have sent to me saying "See, I look GORGEOUS in my strapless dress!" There are people who have bubbles, ribbon wands and the chicken dance and think it is perfect. And they want to prove it to me. What, exactly, am I supposed to say? I think I'm too much of a wuss for a really good snark blog.
However, to end things I must say this because my sister begged me to yesterday: any girl who refuses to accept an engagement if the ring is under a certain carat weight is a gigantic bitch.
Oh man. One of my coworker's friends had his girlfriend say yes to him, but NO to the ring! SOOO tacky!!

oh please oh please! I would love for you to share those stories. They can't go untold. They just can't.
fine, let people send you pictures of themselves in strapless dresses trying to prove that they look good...you don't have to respond. (or you could send a standard response of "oh, yes! you've changed my mind."
I love reading that blog. It was my favorite and it is how I came to find you here. Keep it up! It's funny.

I loved that blog, too. I found you here as well.
In light of my upcoming nuptials (that sounds dirty!), I was hoping for more postings, but oh well. You can just email me the stories in response to my Bridezilla moments. :)
PS - I'm with you on strapless, but how do you feel about corset back dresses - skanky or classy? Let me know.

Back when I was engaged, I posted on a wedding forum where some woman came on saying she gave the ring back because it wasn't big enough. She was skewered. You would have been proud. :-)

I found you though your wedding blog. And I loved it so...
Anyway, I'm too much of a wuss to have a full on snark blog, too.
I have a DOOZY of a wedding story to tell you, but I'm sure you've heard it ALL, so maybe I'll start my own wedding blog. OOH, maybe people could guest post on Bridehood Revisited, so that your friends don't get their feelings hurt!!!

I am with you on the strapless dress thing. I had to wear one last year because that's what everyone else wanted. It was not fun or beautiful.

Yes, that person is a bitch.

As far as our in common friends go, I'll tell you why it's safe for you to continue your snarky wedding blog:
1.) Jamie doesn't read it
2.) Steph doesn't read it
3.) I probably agree with everything you say, and even if you found something to snark about my wedding, I would probably agree with you and find it funny.
Somehow I didn't know about your wedding blog until just now, probably because I didn't know about this blog until long after you started it, and I would just like to say WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT IT SOONER?? I heart your snark almost as much as I heart you, which is much. When are you coming to visit me?

That link made my day. I am sure I have had some bridezilla moments of late - but this whole process has been HORRIBLE. Mostly I hate wedding planning and so that link was amazing. Keep writing, PLEASE!

Oh, but don't we all know someone like that? I had a friend with a 4 carat minimum. And yet when the time came? She accepted her 2 carats like a big girl.
