- I'm feeling great and mostly recovered from my surgery. I had my post-op visit with the doctor last week and I'm healing perfectly.
- More importantly, the doctor showed me pictures from the surgery.
- My appendix looks perfect.
- As does my liver.
- The ovary they took out was destroyed.
- It's fine, totally wasn't my favorite ovary anyway.
- That doesn't mean I didn't cry when thinking about how maybe only the good ova that made babies who will sleep through the night and would grow to be law-abiding citizens were all contained within my left ovary.
- I was still on Percocet when that happened.
- Not so much a fan of the Percocet and the bizarre dreams it gave me.
- In one dream I set Kristabella up on a date with Tony Danza. He was really into her and bitch wasn't appreciative at ALL.
- Since I've been off of the Percocet for a few weeks now, I can't really blame it for the weird dreams I've been having over the past two nights.
- In one dream a famous blogger posted about how awful I am.
- In another dream, one of my bosses told me I was going to hell.
- I blame Texas.
- I've been here in San Antonio since Wednesday for work.
- Slynnro assured me that I would hate San Antonio.
- On Wednesday and early Thursday I thought it was just lovely.
- And then I left my hotel.
- Dear San Antonio, directional signs on the Riverwalk would be awesome.
- I'm here for work and have tried to figure out what to say to several couples I know whose marriages stand to be affected by Prop 8.
- One of the biggest hesitations I've had with going back to church are the things other people do in the name of religion.
- It still is.
- Yeah, there's no good way to end after that.
Welcome back! Glad to hear you are feeling better!

YAY hope the healing continues, my dear!
Tell us more about San Antonio. More specifically, go get some guacamole, eat it, then describe it in every glorious detail. Maybe even call me and breathe it into the phone. And munch on salty chips, too.
are you carrying a gun while in Tx? Do tell.

My favorite part of post op was seeing photos of my ovaries and my bowels. I am a sick, sick girl.

I wouldn't be appreciative in REAL LIFE EITHER! I don't care if Tony Danza is in to me or not!

I'm glad it went well and you're feeling better, and big hugs to you. You're so brave, N! xo

Can I have some of your percocet? I need some crazy dreams to write about.
And maybe they'll stop the crazy itching on my back & arm from my stitches.

Aw! I wish I knew you were in San Antonio! I could've gotten a babysitter, and then we could have gone on a margarita tour! Then I could have pointed you in the correct direction on the Riverwalk! (Either that, or fallen into the river...depends on how many margaritas are involved!)
Try to enjoy a little bit of your time here, it's not all bad! :) Usually, the weather is warm!

I'm glad you're healing perfectly! And you made me snort thinking of Kristabella and Tony Danza.

Wish I'd known you were coming-definitely would have navigated the Riverwalk with you!

The "good ova that made babies who will sleep through the night and would grow to be law-abiding citizens" bit made me laugh.
I need me some Percocet.
